How many times have you been to the parks?
I’ve been to Disneyland twelve times, and Walt Disney World eight times. I’ve yet to experience the international Disney parks.

Do you work for Disney?
Indeed, I do! I am a cast member in the Disney College Program. I work at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. Keep scrolling for more information.
So…what happened to your thumb?
I fractured and dislocated the bone and broke the joint whilst operating the Tom Sawyer Island Rafts at Magic Kingdom. I was undocking from Tom’s Landing, so I was reaching down to unhook the mooring line (rope) from the cleat. The raft (boat) was still in forward. I got my thumb caught between the line and cleat as this happened, and snap. I’m sure you can figure out what happened from there.
So what do you do now?
Mostly greeter positions. I’m on light duty. Under my restrictions, I’m not really allowed to use my left arm, so the only thing I can do is stand at the entrance/exit of attractions/gates/shops and welcome people, ask how they are doing, and answer questions. It’s not my favorite thing, because it does get boring at times, but overall I like it. I like talking to people.
I have been on light duty since February 27th, 2012.
Will you go back to your original position?
At Tom Sawyer Island and Bears? Most likely not. I’ve been and will be out too long, and even when I’m fully healed, I won’t be able to drive the rafts due to some permanent damage/weakness in both my thumb and arm.
Can I visit you while you’re working/when you’re off?
Sure! Just let me know the days you’re coming down, and I’ll try to figure out what my schedule is for either purpose. If I’m working, I’ll let you know where I’m going to be. If I’m not, we’ll work out a place to meet up.

I have now been accepted into the Disney College Program three of the three times I’ve applied. I’ve done the interviews each time, so I know generally what they are looking for.
